Our centralized team of Academic Advisors and Planners assist students from all colleges in pursuing a degree. Advisors help you make informed decisions about course selection, understand university curriculum, build an academic schedule, and connect with academic resources to be successful throughout your time at Bowling Green State University and beyond.
Schedule an Academic Advising Appointment
Our team of Academic Advisors and Planners are available to help you throughout the semester. You can schedule a one-on-one advising appointment or you can take advantage of our Wednesday drop-in advising sessions. We also highly recommend that all students download the Navigate App. It's the easiest way to schedule an advising appointment.

Follow these steps to see who you should contact:
- Log in to your MyBGSU account
- Select "Student Center"
- Look for the blue box with the header "Academic Advisor"
Registering for Classes
The class registration process is different for new students compared to returning students. If you are going to be a new student next year, including new transfer students, please follow the instructions on the new student registration webpage. If you are currently taking classes at BGSU, please follow the process outlined on the returning student registration web page.
