Bowling Green State University prioritizes a community of care 和 belonging. The University strives to foster a shared responsibility for maintaining 和 promoting an environment of civil discourse 和 mutual respect 和 to ensure that campus community members feel valued.
Campus Climate Concern Defined
Campus climate concerns can include actions that impact anyone in the community based on their identity (such as race, color, 宗教, 种族, national origin, 性, 年龄, 残疾, 性ual orientation, gender identity or expression).
The University’s Response to Campus Climate Concerns
The University responds with resources 和 support when a campus climate concern arises that negatively impacts community members.
As a public university, we are committed to the freedom of expression 和 the rights protected by the First Amendment 和 in accordance with BGSU’s Freedom of Expression Policy 和 俄亥俄州 Public Policy on Principles of Free Speech. The University’s response to campus climate concerns is not intended to prohibit or discour年龄 the free exchange of ideas in the campus community or otherwise prohibit protected speech.

A Community of Care requires campus-wide responsibility for acting on situations that can have significant impact on individuals 和 the campus community. As a public university for the public good, Bowling Green State University prioritizes community well-being 和 belonging to ensure that Falcons do not struggle alone.
